Tentsmuir Forest provides miles of quiet, well maintained paths for hacking and pony rides. All rides are led by experienced guides to ensure that your ride is safe and enjoyable, even if you are a novice rider. We cater for all abilities, and provide outings of half an hour, an hour or two hours. A maximum group size of 15 is possible depending on rider size and weight; most hacks take place in groups of four to eight.

The horse that you ride and the activities on your outing will be tailored to your ability, so even the most nervous rider can relax and enjoy the scenery. We cater for young riders too - children aged 3 and over can enjoy a pony ride, led on a rein by an experienced guide.

For experienced riders, the opportunity exists to canter along the extensive sands of Kinshaldy Beach - beach rides are at the discretion of the ride leader. Please enquire about this option when you book ( beach riders must be aged 12 or over)
